In the May 9, 2014, episode of After School's Beauty Bible, Kaeun and Jungah met up with Kim Eunyeong--a therapist. They wanted to know if there was a way to eliminate all the impurities on their skin and in their pores. The therapist stated that the best way to eliminate all the impurities from your pores was to use mud. She also stated that if the impurities in your pores are not cleaned out, then the impurities will oxidize or basically rot, which then leads to aging skin. Uh oh!
Kaeun and Jungah both proceeded to clean their pores with some spa quality mud. Kaeun had a green-colored mud applied to her face to calm her skin and clean her pores.
Jungah had a red-colored mud applied to her hands, which was left on for ten to twenty minutes inside a glove.
For the facial mud mask, you will know when it is time to remove the mask because it will feel like it is drying. To remove the mud mask, it is important to wipe slowly so that you do not damage your skin.
You don't need to go to a spa to get a mud facial. Kaeun showed how to use a mud pack from a tube. You can just squeeze out some of the mud into a clean bowl after shaking the tube, and then apply it with a clean brush onto your skin. Unlike the mud from the professional spa, this mud pack needs to be left on for thirty after the mud dries. They applied this mud pack to Lizzy's hand.
If you really like mud, there are even mud soaps that you can buy. Since you can still have foreign matter on your face even after you remove your make-up, a mud soap can help with deep cleansing and cleaning out your pores.
To remove the mud pack, instead of wiping it off slowly like in the spa, this at-home mud pack needs to be washed off. The mud pack should make your skin less rough and clean away the dead skin.
After cleaning your pores with mud, it is important to use a moisturizing cream for your skin. I think we will need to look into getting some mud pack and mud soap samples for a future MISHIBOX beauty box! What do you think?
